Microsoft Ignite 2026: what to expect

Microsoft Ignite is Microsoft's flagship conference for IT professionals, developers, and cloud architects, spanning Azure, Microsoft 365, security, and an increasingly large AI and Copilot agenda, with both in-person and digital attendance options.

Themes to watch

  • AI and Copilot integration across the Microsoft product stack.
  • Azure cloud infrastructure and container services, including AKS.
  • Microsoft security portfolio updates (Defender, Sentinel, Entra).
  • Hybrid and multi-cloud management for enterprise IT.

Where container security fits into the conversation

Azure container services announcements at Ignite tend to focus on orchestration, scaling, and management, less on what's actually running inside the containers themselves - which is where a lot of avoidable vulnerability risk still lives, regardless of which cloud is hosting the workload.

Echo's CVE-free, FIPS-validated images work the same way in AKS or any other Kubernetes environment: a hardened, fully-documented base image with SBOMs in SPDX and CycloneDX formats and signed provenance, so Azure teams get the same auditable starting point as any other cloud.
